Probability Assignment

 Learning Goal: design a version of "Rock Paper Scissors" and explain the chances of winning

Success Criteria:

  • write out the rules of your version
  • your game has to work (it doesn't have to be fair)
  • perform and record the results from an experiment of your game (chart)
  • explain the chances of each player winning your game (include possible outcomes, favourable outcomes, tree diagram, probability as a fraction & percent)
  • reflection on your game (fair game? strategy? flaws? would you change anything?)

Grade 8 Course Selection

Course selection opens today.

Students need to go onto their BluePrint account and select their courses, submit them and print.  
PLEASE remember to check that the high school listed at the top is the one they want to go to. Transfers should say Aurora High.

A signed copy of their course selection needs to be brought back to Mrs. K. Scott by Feb. 18th.
